Scope of Services
Advanced Tuning Solutions provides professional diesel performance tuning, ECU remapping, and mechanical optimisation services. All work is carried out with care, skill, and attention to detail.
Vehicle Condition & Responsibility
Before any tuning or modification, the customer confirms that their vehicle is in sound mechanical condition and suitable for tuning.
Advanced Tuning Solutions is not responsible for any pre-existing, hidden, or developing mechanical or electrical faults that may become apparent as a result of tuning.
No Warranty or Liability
Advanced Tuning Solutions takes no responsibility or liability for any engine, drivetrain, transmission, turbocharger, DPF, EGR, AdBlue, or component failure that may occur during or after tuning.
All modifications are performed at the customer’s own risk.
Warranty on Services
A 2-week warranty applies to jobs where a guarantee is provided. This covers defects in workmanship or parts supplied by Advanced Tuning Solutions.
The warranty does not apply to:
- Misuse, neglect, or unauthorised modifications.
- Faults caused by third-party services, external damage, or normal wear.
- Pre-existing or unrelated mechanical issues.
- DPF, EGR, or AdBlue deletes, as they involve variables beyond our control.
All warranty claims must be made in writing within 2 weeks of service to: dave@advancedtuningsolutions.co.nz, with proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue.
Performance and Longevity
Performance tuning alters factory safety margins and parameters. While every effort is made to maintain reliability, Advanced Tuning Solutions does not guarantee long-term durability, fuel economy, or the absence of wear resulting from performance changes.
Pops, Bangs, and Crackle Tunes
Advanced Tuning Solutions does not recommend enabling “pops and bangs”, “crackle”, or “burble” features.
These features can cause excessive heat, fuel wash, and premature wear or damage to exhaust components, turbochargers, or internal engine parts.
If the customer requests such features, they accept full responsibility for all associated risks and potential damage.
Road Use and Compliance
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their vehicle remains compliant with all local laws, emissions standards, and road-use requirements.
Advanced Tuning Solutions will not be held liable for any legal or compliance issues resulting from modifications or tuning.
DPF Delete Disclaimer and Call-Back Policy
DPF deletes and related modifications involve factors beyond our control, including software variations, damaged sensors, or incomplete sensor systems.
If post-service adjustments, scans, or revisions are required, the following rates apply:
- Mobile support: $1.70 per km (one way) + $105/hour (GST incl.)
- Workshop support: $105/hour (GST incl.)
Booking Terms
A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. This will be applied toward the total cost of services.
If cancelled, the deposit may be transferred to a future booking within 4 weeks at our discretion.
Full payment is due upon completion
Travel and Labour Charges
Where follow-up visits are not covered by warranty, travel will be charged at $1.70 per km (one way only), plus a labour rate of $105/hour (GST incl.), unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Customer Responsibility
All responsibility for the vehicle, its use, and any consequences of tuning remain solely with the customer/owner.
Advanced Tuning Solutions and its staff will not be held liable for any direct or indirect losses, costs, or damages arising from tuning or related services.
Emissions System Responsibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to be fully informed of the current LVV requirements that apply to their vehicle. Advanced Tuning Solutions will not be held liable for any
compliance, certification, or legal issues that arise from emissions system changes. The customer accepts all responsibility for ensuring that their vehicle remains compliant with applicable regulations.
Amendments
These terms and conditions may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available upon request.
